Renewable-energy specialist Livoltek energized the city’s inaugural CinePicnic outdoor cinema experience this weekend, delivering a fully green power solution that kept the silver screen glowing on the banks of the Bega River.

Organized by Timișoara City Hall and held in Alpinet Park, the sold-out event drew hundreds of families, friends and film enthusiasts for an evening of open-air cinema and community spirit. Livoltek supplied an all-in-one hybrid inverter and battery-storage system that produced and stored enough locally generated clean energy to run the entire projection setup, lighting and sound equipment without tapping the municipal grid.

“Sustainability and culture came together under the stars,” said a Livoltek Romania representative. “Our technology proved once again that reliable, renewable power is not just for rooftops or factories—it can light up memories and bring communities closer.”
Attendees lounged on blankets and picnic chairs while children played nearby, all illuminated by energy drawn entirely from the sun earlier that day. The zero-emission setup eliminated an estimated 120 kg of CO₂ compared with a conventional diesel generator, underscoring Timișoara’s commitment to climate-smart urban events.

The CinePicnic series will continue through late summer, with Livoltek confirming its renewable-energy partnership for future screenings.
