Technology, Knowledge, Synergy – A New Renewable Energy Innovation Center Is Being Created in Poland

In an era of accelerated energy transformation, the dynamic development of renewable energy sources in Poland requires not only innovative products but, above all, synergy – both technological and educational. The answer to these needs is a project collaboration between two strong players in the renewable energy sector: Livoltek, a manufacturer of modern inverters, energy storage systems, and solutions for electromobility, and the global leader LONGi Solar , specializing in the production of high-performance photovoltaic modules using the most advanced technologies.

Development and investment in renewable energy are paramount

As part of their joint efforts, LONGi Solar and Livoltek have pledged their contribution to the development of the renewable energy industry. The actions taken include:

  • Organizing webinars and on-site training for the renewable energy industry
  • Participation in industry events
  • Educational activities with technical universities
  • Creating a research and testing base for students and engineers

This approach leverages the combined expertise of both companies: LONGi Solar brings the highest quality PV modules (currently Back Contact, with a record efficiency of 25.4%) and is a leader in the most advanced technology, Livoltek – intelligent energy management and storage, thanks to its broad battery portfolio. Their combination addresses growing market needs: system integration, high storage efficiency, and ease of operation and monitoring.

“Establishing cooperation with the Silesian University of Technology is a step towards innovation and development for us. This is the first such initiative that not only supports development but also contributes to expanding knowledge and improving solutions for the entire renewable energy industry. We know that working with Livoltek on this project will result in new, groundbreaking activities and innovations,” said Daniel Moczulski, CEE Sales Director, LONGi Solar.

Partnership with the Silesian University of Technology – an investment in the future of the industry

A significant milestone in achieving the shared goals of both companies is Livoltek ‘s initiation of cooperation with the Silesian University of Technology (one of Poland’s leading technical universities), to which LONGi has also been invited . The project involves the creation of a modern renewable energy laboratory, which will serve as a testing ground for solutions from Livoltek, LONGi, and IVENDO , a manufacturer of innovative assembly structures. The facility will primarily serve as a learning and research facility for students and academic staff.

The laboratory will be equipped with:

  • Photovoltaic modules from LONGi Solar made with Back Contact technology – LONGi: 54-HTB-435
  • A 5 kW HP3 series hybrid inverter and a 10 kWh BHF-S series energy storage system managed by a proprietary Livoltek application
  • IVENDO’s construction systems will utilize the KDP-Click design, designed for flat roofs, enabling module installation on both the long and short sides, depending on the type of panels used. The system allows for ballast, invasive, or adhesive installation to roofing felt or membrane, providing flexibility in adapting to various roof types and installation conditions.

The installation project will be complemented by regular training sessions and seminars that will enable students to have direct contact with industry practitioners – people who not only know the latest trends, but are also their creators.

“This is a success and an opportunity for the Silesian University of Technology. It is the first such innovative and advanced project where university students have the opportunity to actually meet and learn directly from experienced experts in the renewable energy industry,” said Dr. Daniel Węcel, assistant professor at the Faculty of Environmental and Energy Engineering, Department of Power Machines and Devices.

The first of such events has already taken place – under the title “Energy of the Future – a meeting with practitioners from the renewable energy sector”, with the following participants:

  • Dawid Piejko – Livoltek,
  • Daniel Moczulski and Bartłomiej Rotuski – LONGi Solar
  • Mariusz Burkiewicz – IVENDO
  • Marek Norek – expert in intelligent energy management

During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to learn about current trends in the renewable energy market, discover technological innovations and take part in an open discussion about the challenges of energy transformation.

“Our collaboration with the Silesian University of Technology opens up many new opportunities for us. Thanks to LONGi Solar and IVENDO’s invitation to collaborate, we’ve created a complete team capable of providing the university with a complete PV installation for research and development purposes. This allows us to conduct tests not only for the development of our companies’ products, but also for the entire industry,” said Sebastian Fibrand, Country Manager, Livoltek Polska.

Energy transformation needs synergy

The cooperation between LONGi and IVENDO with Livoltek and the Silesian University of Technology is more than just a promotional activity – it is a real step towards creating a new energy ecosystem in Poland, in which science, business and technology work together for the future.

At a time when the energy sector must combine efficiency with responsibility, and innovation with education, projects like this have the potential to take the energy transformation to the next level!
